12 South
Near Belmont University, this small neighborhood surrounds a half-mile stretch of 12th Avenue South and boasts great restaurants, bars, stylish boutiques, coffee shops, bakeries, and a large park. This vibrant and walkable area is pet and family friendly, and it is popular among both tourists and locals alike. 12 South is also home to several murals frequently posted to social media, most notably including the “I Believe in Nashville” wall. 12 South feels both alive and safe, and it is one of the most desirable areas in Nashville as a result. The area contains many older bungalow style homes, newer builds, condos, and apartments, all within a short distance from downtown Nashville. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of the area, a person buying in 12 South can expect to pay a premium.
BEST KNOWN FOR
The locally owned boutiques and gourmet quality restaurants are likely what 12 South is best known for, though the popularity of the “I Believe in Nashville” mural makes it a close second.
