Belle Meade
Located roughly seven miles southwest of downtown Nashville and three miles west of Green Hills, Belle Meade is a beautiful area that is reputedly the wealthiest suburb in Davidson County. Large homes on sizable, well-maintained lots are common, and the area has its own city government, mayor, and police force. There are many large private schools in the area, and some tourist destinations as well, most notably including the Cheekwood botanical gardens and the Belle Meade Historical Site. Recreationally, Percy Warner Park, a municipal park, is partially located in Belle Meade and offers trails, picnic areas, sports fields, and a golf course. The Belle Meade County Club also has been a fixture in the area since it was opened in 1901. Famous residents of Belle Meade have included former Vice President Al Gore and country singer Vince Gill.

The Belle Meade Country Club is well-known in Nashville. The area is also generally recognized for its large homes and manicured estates.
THE THINGS WE LOVE
1. Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. This historical 55-acre 1929 estate now is now a botanical garden and art museum. It conducts various family and child-friendly events and exhibits throughout the year and hosts nearly 300,000 people annually.
2. The homes. Belle Meade is a beautiful area that features a wide variety of large, gorgeous homes.
ONE NEGATIVE
Home prices in Belle Meade are expensive. In 2020, the median home price in the area was well over $1.5 million.
FAVORITE ACTIVITY
Visiting Cheekwood. The grounds are simply lovely, and the variety of events and exhibits that change throughout the year make repeat visits worthwhile.
