College Grove/
Arrington

Located southeast of Franklin, Arrington and College Grove are rural communities that have grown due to their close proximity to Franklin and Brentwood. The two communities are roughly seven miles apart, and both still offer an abundance of natural beauty. There are many farms still in the area, and scenic pastures are plentiful. The Arrington Vineyards winery is located in the area, offering award-winning wines and 75 scenic acres. Many new homes have been built there, and single-family neighborhoods are continuing to grow. Home prices are lower than in neighboring Franklin, but the gap is not as wide as one might think. The area schools are highly rated, and many offer small classroom sizes. Neither College Grove nor Arrington offers large retail areas, but their close proximity to both Franklin and Murfreesboro allow for convenient access to shopping and restaurant options.

BEST KNOWN FOR

Arrington Vineyards. Also our “Favorite Activity,” the winery is a popular choice for summer afternoons and evenings.

THE THINGS WE LOVE

1. Rural feel. Arrington and College Grove still possess the rural feeling that much of middle Tennessee has lost over the last two decades.

2. Family friendly. Arrington and College Grove are popular choices for families moving to the area.

ONE NEGATIVE

Rural feel. While some people will love the rural feel (we do), others will not like the lack of urban conveniences.
