East Nashville

Located across the Cumberland River from downtown, East Nashville is one of the city’s most desirable communities. The area is known for its historic homes, artistic feel, and fantastic restaurants. East Nashville has a strong sense of community, and its residents embrace its laid-back, artsy atmosphere. Some of the historic homes date back to the 1800s, and many others date back to the 1950s and ‘60s. Cottage and bungalow homes are common, but a wide-variety of home types can be found. East Nashville offers many trendy fine dining options, which we can say from experience are well worth the trip. East Nashville also offers a number of bars, coffee shops, and vintage shops. Each summer, East Nashville hosts its Tomato Art Fest street festival. This event draws thousands and offers art, food, shopping, music, costume contests, and other family-friendly activities.
