Germantown

Located a few blocks north of the State Capitol building in Nashville, Germantown offers unparalleled convenience for those working downtown. First Tennessee Park, home of the Nashville Sounds, is located one block south of Germantown. The area has undergone substantial gentrification in recent years, and now newly constructed condominiums and townhomes are common in the area. These homes often command a premium price. Unlike many areas in middle Tennessee, Germantown offers walkability, and it is a popular area among young adults. The area is best known for its high-quality restaurants, of which there are many.

BEST KNOWN FOR

The restaurants. Germantown has many great restaurants, and Ryan and Rebekah can personally recommend Rolf and Daughters, Monell’s, 5th & Taylor, City House, and Silo.

THE THINGS WE LOVE

1. The location. Germantown is close to everything Nashville has to offer.

2. The restaurants. Few areas have as many high quality restaurants in close proximity to one another.

ONE NEGATIVE

The price. Because of the desirable location, the average price per square foot in Germantown is higher than in many other areas.

FAVORITE ACTIVITY

Though technically a block outside of Germantown, we highly recommend attending a Sounds game at First Tennessee Park.

COMMUTE TIMES

  • Airport: 17 minutes
  • Downtown Nashville: 7 minutes
  • Franklin: 33 minutes
