Nolensville
Located south of Nashville and east of Brentwood and Franklin, Nolensville is a rural town that has grown exponentially in recent years. It is particularly popular among families that desire a small town feel, convenience to Nashville, and the highly rated Williamson County schools. Nolensville is well-known for its Main Street, which offers many antique shops, quality local restaurants, and farmer’s market. As it is still a small town, there are not a lot of activities within the Nolensville town limits, but many options are within a short drive. Nolensville offers friendly people, a strong sense of community, and beautiful scenery. It is filled with southern charm.
BEST KNOWN FOR
The annual Buttercup Festival. Each spring, dozens of arts, crafts, and food vendors line the town’s historic district for the festival, which also includes the Miss Buttercup and Little Miss Buttercup pageants.
THE THINGS WE LOVE
1. Small town feel. Despite Nolensville’s recent growth, the town is still small and offers all the benefits you would expect from a small town.
2. The farmer’s market. Every Saturday morning during the spring and summer, local farmers and vendors gather to offer a wide range of foods, ranging from farm-fresh produce and meats to espresso and cheesecakes.
ONE NEGATIVE
The recent growth in Nolensville has resulted in heavier traffic.
FAVORITE FACT
Legend says that the town was founded when, while passing through, William Nolen’s wagon wheel broke. While making repairs, he noticed the beauty of the area and plentiful natural resources, and he decided to stay. Today, the town’s seal bears a broken wagon wheel.
